Pelling
Pelling is a small town situated in the district of West Sikkim, at the foothills of Mount Kanchenjunga. Nestled at an altitude of 2,150 m (7,200 feet), Pelling is some 10km from the district headquarter Geyzing. It is around 120km from Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim.
Pelling is heaven for tourists offering lovely views of Mount Kanchenjunga; home to a number of waterfalls and serving as the base for several treks. Pelling is one of the best places to enjoy snowfall.
Pelling can be visited at all times of the year. However, it rains heavily during the monsoon months – from July to late September.
